Do your tattoos show at work?

Not mine. Unless I have a heart attack and they need to remove my shirt to give me CPR. LOL.

If I wear a short-sleeved shirt or roll-up my sleeves. Responses vary.

It's summer, so they do. The little guys on my feet show. And when I roll up my sleeves my permanent sleeve shows. I suppose my knuckle tattoos always show, but I forget about them because they are so tiny.

I made sure that my sleeves finish just above the jacket line, so they don't. As for the backpiece, unless I wanna go to the firm in a bikini, it's not an issue; however, a small design on my right hand is on view. It's not big and no one has ever said anything about it.

When I first started consulting at the firm, I used to cover it up with a bandaid but no longer do unless a big client is in the office.

I think once you start making people lots of money, you can get away with being more "eccentric", within limits of course.

Yes, thankfully, they do. Working in the music industry has afforded me the opportunity to never have to cover my artwork. It is definitely a perk of the career.

I generally wear a vest (in summer) SPECIFICALLY so that it shows :) The clients get used to it.

I must admit, I cover up for work. Both of my sleeves are 3/4 so I can still roll up my sleeves and not show my tattoos. I could probably show them at work, especially now that INKED Inc. has gone public and blown my cover. People at work think they're cool. But they'd be distracting, so I opt to cover.

Once INKED Inc. goes big time :), everyone in the company will be encouraged (if not required) to show their bodyart.

No, they don't at this point... however, if I wear shorts to a company outing, my thigh piece does peak out when I sit. It really isn't a big problem here though... despite being a conservative college, the response I have gotten when I do let the cat out of the bag has been really positive... it's even encouraged others here to show their own work off and even, in some cases, get a tattoo.

I have been very open about my artwork and even the president of the college knows... he likes the fact that he has a little "deviancy" in the marketing department... keeps the ideas flowing he says.

My inner forearm tattoo shows if I have my chef's coat sleeve rolled up, which I usually do. I have to interact with my customers and the shop I work at is in a fairly ritzy area. I usually do a quick first impression judgement call and either leave it up or roll both sleeves down before doing a consultation. Hmmm... does this mean I judge my customers just as much as they could be judging me? So far I have had no negative interactions. My boss has never made any comments either, since I've started working for her I've brought in a lot of business that she was unable to do before I came.

No. I prefer to keep the inked side of me quite apart from my professional side - sort of Clark Kent style, minus the phone box. For some reason I find that the split personality thing works for me.

Sometimes, when I wear short sleeves they show a bit. Visible tattoos are not allowed, but everyone knows I have them in my department and nobody pays any attention. I would make sure they are covered in a meeting with senior management. I have a ring on my finger that shows, very small and also ignored.
