how long do you leave it after you tattoo?

I don't do the tanning thing (except in the sun naturally), but I was at the gym working out the day after I got my tattoo.

i think you should always keep your tattoos out of the sunbed -- fresh and healed -- if you dont want them to fade. That said, when healing, the tattoo def needs to be outta the sun.

As for the gym, it depends on the part of the body where you're tattooed. If you're bending and moving a freshly tattooed area, the ink could spread. Also, keep in mind that a fresh tattoo is open skin and gym machines harbor a lot of bacteria, so i'd generally wait until the skin closes up.

sunbed in a nono, even if you dont have tats!! they are soooooooooooooo bad for you!
and exercise? depends on where it is. my ribs? i didnt take any time off. my foot, i took a week off from running.

two weeks for me- longer than most but rather be on the safe side plus an excuse not to go to the gym for awhile!

I usually go running the next day, although sweat on a fresh tattoo isn't precisely a comfortable sensation. I generally give the weights involving the tattooed body part a rest until it's gone through it's first peel. I don't go to the sunbed, or tan all all, ever.

I've never been to a tanning booth, but then I'm half Malay and even if the sunblocks slathered on I still get darker. I waited almost 2 weeks before I went running. But thats because my sports bra is insanely tight and I didn't want it rubbing against the tattoo. If I had it on my hip I probably would have worked out sooner.

ive just had my ribs finished, ive been using sunbeds just to get my skin to a level where i dont get prickly heat at end of sept when i go to Greece.......us pale english and the sun dont mix lol
i normally like to do cardio and weights but i take on what everyone has said about where it is and how it will heal

i always wasn't into tanning so i can't say, but as others have chimed in it may be a bad idea, how about spray tan?

ive stayed off them now....i think it makes it stand out more on my white body lol ill update my pics as soon as the rest heals
