Hi Judy, first off your back is amazing. How have you found wearing a bra post-healing?

Have heard that even when healed, the bra strap rubbing can make it fade in those spots the strap cuts across. It's one of the things initially stopped me from placing it just that inch or two higher...will be going braless for healing anyway, even if it may scare the world!

In my mind I visualise it b&g because when you look at a picture for so long, sometimes it's hard to imagine it differently. Thinking I might have a future pieces done in colour.

Cheers for the great tips! That's good your colours are still as vivid now, do you have any white in yours at all? I'm addicted to moisturising too (should take out shares in Palmers) and how good does ink look when it's all glossy and shining...

It is toile! So funny you say that, cause everytime I've said 'toile' people are like '??!' so I've been referring to it as damask, because it's that similar wallpaper pattern. Do you think it could do with some shading areas? Really want to steer away from a 'stamp' style (dislike that term because it puts down women and is just used to repress women's sexuality, but I digress...) My BF thinks it looks quite tribal, but I don't see it that way at all, but only because I know its origin, to me it's vine toile. But then, if it's shaded might that make it lose its symmetry?

Oh, how did you find the areas going over the bony bump bits of your spine? Just because it's to be centre with my spine and spent so much time finding someone I could put faith in to not stuff that up (would be obvious if they did).

Yeah the scene-y toile reminds me a bit of my nonna's bedspread or something haha

Will definitely chat with my artist about some shadows and see what she can come up with :)

The pain isn't something I'm relishing, but it'll just be three hours out of my whole life and it must be worse than being shot/stabbed and people get through that, so it mustbe relative...also, the boy is covered in tattoos in some notoriously sensitive spots (stomach/ribs ) but anytime I jokingly suggest waxing his chest his face drains of blood and us girls just get used to that, right!

8lbs is quite big isn't it! No anasthesia = respect.

Been having arguments with the boy over it. He sees any tattoo on the back as being a 'tramp stamp' and that it's tribal. I can tell the design is definitely not tribal (not a tribal fan either) but it's the fact that it's blackwork perhaps. How is tattoo that will go right up halfway my back be a tramp stamp? To me the female form and our backs are the sexiest things in the world, so why not tattoo your favourite part of the boy? This term 'tramp stamp' is used to demean women and put us down. Why are men allowed to be sexual creatures, but ink on our backs makes us fallen angels, it's pretty archaic I reckon!

He also thinks if you decide to get a tattoo then it's dumb to go on a waitlist, because he says anyone can knock out this tattoo no problems and I'm getting ripped off. But it's a personal philosophy.

Anyways, so now have this little joke to myself that I'm reclaiming the tramp stamp, we should celebrate our backs :) Thinking of adding some birds later on already....

There's no group on here for tattoo virgins with inked partners who just aren't into their partners getting inked too!

Thanks! Yeah do you have a thread? What are you planning post-healing bra-wise? Still not sure whether to have it finish underneath the strap for practicality, or have it further up....
