I've heard everything under the sun in terms of pain:
Upper back is the worst
Lower back is the worst
Love handles are the worst
Ass is the worst
Chest is the worst
Elbows are the worst
Stomach is the worst
Anywhere you are ticklish is the worst

In my personal experience so far it's been:
Love handle area was the worst by far.
I've gotten my chest tattooed twice, the first time it was no big deal, the last time it was truly horrible (but that was six hours into a session so who knows what it will be like next time).
My arms, elbows, upper back were all practically "easy".
My lower back, right on the spine in the small of my back, actually felt good. It was truly the weirdest thing ever - as though it was itching a scratch I never knew I had.

I'm truly not looking forward to my stomach when I finish my body suit. I'm going to procrastinate doing the front below my chest for another five years at least.

Back .....i'm finding all sorts lower back & between the shoulder blades for me were not nice, down the sides & upper back ok.
Front .....chest only done so far, around the "nips" for me was not good! centre where my chest panels meet phuckin killed as did going over my collar bones (one of which is dislocated so bounced like a pogo stick) !!!!! fleshier part of the chest and towards the arm pit was ok.

Haven't touched the back yet. I have most of my front done. Did not feel so great. The area around the solar plexus sucked. I had trouble breathing.

I have most of my back tattooed and just the front of my thighs. I think the the front of the thighs do hurt but compared to the ass nothing touches that. I hear the Ribs and the inside of the arm like armpit area hurt like a motha lova. Still need about 20 pounds to do my ribs lol.

Having both sides of my ribcage, solar plexus, upper chest, collarbone down to manboob, and my back done, i have to say that the worst i ever experienced was the solar plexus. Then again i made a poor choice of tattooist in that one.

My lower backpiece reached out to the ribs, and neither spot was fun! My foot wasn't great either because my reflex was to kick, so it was really hard to hold still.

i agree about the solar plexus area. it is REALLY tough. i have a full chestpiece that definitely had some very painful spots. i am getting my back done now and i am finding it pretty painful, but i also know that the artist doing it is very heavy handed so that may be the main reason. i am not looking forward to the ass part of it at all. i also have one side of my ribs, feet, side and front of thighs, inner arms, and part of my armpits done. out of those the feet are the worst for me. although everyone is different of course. i did not think the inner arm was bad at all, and the thighs are not bad either, except toward the back.

Wow I just added some more graves to my @rse this past weekend and was that painful. Im not lookin foward to the shading.

Just had some back work done and it killed, but had a chat with the tattoer and we are starting to think there's something to this "ticklish" theory. Haven't had chest work done, and I am not planning to, but fleshier parts were more challenging than boney bits.

Having said that it was mostly outlining; the shorter lines I could barely feel.
