Train for what? I ran a 5k the day after a three hour ink session on my leg...no real effect. I'm guessing you mean hernia? That would be more of a problem, and you should get it checked out.

I train MMA too -- keep away from the gym b/c staph is rampant in martial arts gyms. Concentrate on cardio till your "wound" is well healed (I'd say 2 weeks from the date of tattoo to be safe--my logic being that's the general time for swimming). You can also work on explosivity-type exercises (jumping, leaping, etc.) -- although your hernia might appreciate you getting that taken care of first (hope you don't ignore that problem, tho'; those are repaired fairly easily, but it'll be a couple of weeks down time after a minor surgical procedure). Faber by ground-n-pound in round 2.
