If it's on your back and it's covered then there's no reason you'd have to show it if you're in the legal area.

In terms of society, any tattoo of a horror/dark subject is going to evoke strong emotions and some people may find that confronting. Others will love it. If it's well-executed That's something that you'd have to wear (literally). If you're carrying death on your back people will comment/stare and you have to either truly not give a toss or be willing to accept that, dismiss/ignore unwelcome feedback and move on. If you're nervous about how society may view you over this, perhaps you're not ready for it?
