Someone at work keeps listening to Simon and Garfunkel. It’s been two days of this, three really, because it started Friday. I’m not unfriendly to S&G, but c’mon, enough with the campy sadness music. The only thing worse would be if she decided that Pink Floyd was more appropriate. Once more, not unfriendly to PF, but one can only listen to The Wall about 532 times before it starts getting… irksome. Anyway, the point of this post is to mention that my sister and I both have birthdays this month, and she wants us to get matching sister tattoos, which I’ve always sort of been against, but as much as I hate her lazy ass, I also love her, and as much as I resent the fact that she got a tattoo over a tattoo I paid for as a gift to her (some five years ago, then she got it covered like two years later), perhaps it is time to relax the rules. Thing is, she wants us to get some little thing, some little detail on the wrist, and I am somewhat beyond that. At this point, we’re both looking at designs. I sort of wanted some vine-like script that said sister (or sorella, sister in Italian – we’re of Italian ancestry, among other things that make us, in truth, mutts), with leaves and thorns, script that you can’t quite read unless you know it’s there… her latest idea was a tiny seahorse on the wrist. So we’re having a hard time deciding. I want big, she wants small, she wants us to get IDENTICAL tattoos in size and placing, I say it doesn’t really matter. I wish she would save me the trouble and just get one of MY tattoos, Dolores, for instance, but, according to her, “She looks dead”. And so the search goes on. I wish I could post some designs here when I post this, but I don’t see a feature that allows this… http://www.hennamehndi.com/images/armlets.jpg
