So, yeah... My new greenman is FRIGGIN' HUGE and EFFIN' AWESOME!
So huge and so awesome that we only managed to get the line work done in the first four hour sitting. Lots o' lines in this puppy! I was a bit surprised, actually, because it seemed like Fish was absolutely flying on the thick lines below the mouth, but then he just kept doing more and more and there was still so much yet to do... But then, this is my first-ever multi-sitting tattoo, so I had not idea what was what.
It's totally sweet, though. I'm super stoked. Props once again to my boy, Fish @ Th'Ink Tank in Denver. (Side note: The Wife made sure that we would have him as our personal tattooist for life. We were a bit worried since he's going to be a fashion designer and what not. ;^)
I go back for four hours or so of shading on October 20 (which is perfect, since it let's me heal for a week before a Halloween party that's on the calendar) and then another 4 hour slot for color on November 10. I'm already dreading those, because the outlining usually let's me build up my tolerance so the shading/coloring doesn't bug me so much. Whenever we start right in with the big needle groups without the benefit of the outlining work, I just hate it.
Ah, well... Such is life.
Dude... Look at how awesome that thing is!
Eeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!
