I am planning on getting a Day of the dead skull tattoo a bit bigger than fist size. I was thinking on my lower back but i'm not sure. I want it to be surrounded by flowers. Where are some good places to get it where it would sit well and not become to distorted with age?
I didn't figure you did, it would be nice to see the end product somehow though! If I ever get my mid section to look like hers I would actually consider a side piece.
Well I'm sure I can get another of it finished no problem..... She loves to remind me what I'm missing like that, plus shes like 10lbs lighter now. I hate her :)
No matter what a tattoo hurts if its on the arms, ribs, or back its something stabbing you over and over and over so for those who say " oh no the ribs dont hurt " shhhhhhhhhhh becuase they do.
Now if you were looking for a nice prime spot i would say your shoulder especially if its a day of the dead skull because those fit perfect there and if you want you can add on for later references. Oh and get it bigger than a fist youll get way more detail.
I just got a DOD skull with some wings and roses ( not done yet, pics to be added soon). Mine is in the center of my back, with the wings going up towards my shoulders and roses at the bottom. I plan on getting 2 more skulls, one on each shoulder ( as coverups of some shitty tats I have already lol).
Anywho, I think your lower back would be good, as would your shoulder blades or center like I did. If you do the center, you can always add to it, if you choose.
I think the best way to do it is to go to the artist you have chosen and that person will choose the post. because the spot will also dictate the size of it and everything else. All that hus huss stuff that tattoo artists talk about. Midgets and blood and shit...
