I'm lacking in bodyart. I have 1 tattoo, and many retired piercings due to my job.
Relationship Status:
Single
About Me:
26 years old. Fiesty, spunky, positive, upbeat attitude. Red hair (naturally but dyed brighter - yes the carpet matches the drapes!), plus size gal who isn't afraid of her curves aka FAT! Love the 1950s, anything pin-up, expressing myself creatively, and being incontrol.
Super sucessful in business and life. Last thing I need to conquer is my health (no this does not mean I want to lose weight so I can be skinny) and after that everything else will fall into place. I got a promotion and a raise, bought my 1st condo, and a new car all in 2007 - so don't ever doubt my ability to take over the world ;)
Describe your profession:
I work in the menswear fashion industry. No, I do not do retail. I work in the design studios of a well-known menswear company. I graduted with a BFA in fashion design and was hired soon after. as an assistant. 3 months later my boss quits and I am left with a department in complete chaos. What left to do then to do what I do best and organize the shite out of it. I went striaght upper-management and told them I wanted the job. Not believing in a recent college grad I asked them to give me a month to prove them wrong. 1 month later they offered me the job.
I'm a Trims Manager. Basically I am responsible for sourcing, developing, and having created all of the 'trims' for all 30+ brands that we own or are licensees for. My 2nd passion in life, under fashion, has always been marketing. I've been doing marketing/promotions since I was 15. What we refer to as "trims" in our company is really the packaging of the garment. Those silly hangtags, price tickets, woven labels, heat seals, and stickers that you usually rip off the garment as soon as you buy it and get it home. Its the marketing of the garment. What else will a pair of khakis pants be unless you know they are WRINKLE FREE... or IRON FREE.. or STAIN RESISTANT? ;) Yes, it may seem boring and you may be wowed that there is an entire department geared towards this, but I accidentally found out that this is my dream job (for now) and I love every second of it.
